Potassium Nitrate
It is a nitrate salt of potassium and appeared as colorless pillar-shaped crystals or white crystalline powder. It tastes salty and is odorless, and is used as food additives in sausages, hams, and other meat processed foods, and as fertilizer providing nitrogen for growth of plants. It particularly contains abundant oxygen and can be explosive by mixing with sulfur or organic compounds, and thus can be used as an ingredient for explosives.
